How can I be taxed on money that I never withdrew?

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires that WorldWinner® calculates a player's Net Winnings (winnings) as the total winnings minus the entry fees that were paid in tournaments in which the player was declared the winner or received a prize (2nd Place, 3rd Place, etc). Net Winnings will increase each time you win or place in a cash competition (receive cash winnings).

This calculation is not how much has been withdrawn from the account over the course of the year - it is the Net Winnings.

We do realize that some players may prefer to have their Net Winnings calculated differently, but this is the calculation that the IRS has required WorldWinner® to use and, unfortunately, we are not at liberty to change it. Further clarification on the calculation that WorldWinner® is required to uphold can be found here.
